Sustainability

Sustainability, Woven Into Everything We Make.

At C S Textile, Sustainability Is More Than a Trend — It’s a Responsibility We Embrace Wholeheartedly. As a Manufacturer Of Knitted Home and Fashion Textiles, We Believe In Creating Products That Respect Both the Environment and the People Involved In Every Step Of the Process. From the Selection Of Organic Raw Materials To Ensuring Carbon-Neutral Production, Our Commitment To Sustainable Practices Is At the Core Of Everything We Do.

C S Textile sustainability — natural landscape

We Think About Sustainability the Way the Textile Industry Increasingly Does, Worldwide: Not Just Environmental Impact On Its Own, but Our Environmental Footprint, Our Treatment Of People, and the Transparency Of How We Run the Business — Taken Together.

Reducing Our Footprint, at Every Stage.

Ecology

Our Commitment To Ecology Extends Beyond Aesthetics. We Design Home Décor and Fashion Products That Not Only Beautify Your Space but Also Respect the Environment. By Using Eco-Friendly Materials, Non-Toxic Coatings and Energy-Efficient Manufacturing Techniques, We Aim To Reduce Our Environmental Impact At Every Stage Of Production — Each Product Thoughtfully Crafted With Sustainability In Mind.

Environmental Responsibility

From the Selection Of Raw Materials To the Methods We Employ In Production, We Continuously Strive To Lessen Our Environmental Impact. We Source Materials That Are Kind To the Planet and Implement Manufacturing Processes That Prioritise Energy Efficiency and Waste Reduction, So Every Item Leaves a Smaller Carbon Footprint Without Compromising On Quality or Style.

Sustainability in Focus

Sustainability Is Woven Into the Fabric Of C S Textile. We Focus On Integrating Renewable Resources, Using Energy-Efficient Production Methods and Reducing Waste At Every Stage Of the Production Cycle — Including the Careful Selection Of Sustainable Materials and Designs That Reduce Emissions Across the Product Life Cycle.

Natural Fibres

Our Products Emphasise the Use Of Natural Fibres, Mainly Cotton. Natural Fibres Are Renewable, Biodegradable, and Generally Require Less Energy To Produce Than Synthetic Materials — Bringing Warmth, Texture and Character To a Home While Supporting Practices That Reduce Reliance On Non-Renewable Resources.

Carbon-Neutral Production

The Textile Industry Is a Significant Contributor To Global Carbon Emissions, Which Is Why C S Textile Has Taken Meaningful Steps To Reduce Our Own Footprint. Every Product We Manufacture Is Carbon-Neutral, From Raw Material To Delivery.

CO₂ Emission Management

C S Textile Commissioned an Independent Greenhouse Gas Assessment Covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 Emissions Across Our Full Production Chain — From Raw Yarn Inward To Finished Goods Despatch. The Assessment Was Conducted On-Site By VRNC For CSM Fairtrade India, Under the SwitchAsia Grants Programme, Funded By the European Union.

This Gives Us — and You — a Verified 2024 Baseline To Measure Real Progress Against, Rather Than an Estimate. Here Is What That Assessment Found.

Combined Scope 1 & 2 Emissions, Assessed 2024 Baseline and Projected Reduction Targets Per the Independent Assessment — Driven By Identified Efficiency Measures (2025) and Planned 125 kW Rooftop Solar Installation (2026).

Based On This Baseline, We Have a Committed Roadmap Toward Near Net-Zero Status By 2027:

  • Immediate-Payback Efficiency Measures Identified — Compressed Air Optimisation, LED Upgrades and BLDC Fan Conversion
  • Planned 125 kW Rooftop Solar Installation, Projected To Cut Emissions By Approximately 144 tCO₂e Per Year
  • Rainwater Harvesting and Water Metering Under Implementation To Reduce Freshwater Dependence
